Each week, over 12,000 Canadian Nielsen Homescan Consumer Panel members track their household purchases, voice their consumer opinions and influence what products you see on store shelves. By joining the Nielsen Homescan Consumer Panel, your consumer voice will be heard.

Participation is easy. We’ll send you a hand-held scanner to read the barcodes on items that you buy. It only takes a few minutes to scan items as you are putting purchases away. Then, once a week, the scanner transmits your purchase data to us.

Your participation is easy and free. You will never be asked to pay or buy anything. Above all, we respect the privacy and contribution of our panel members. Your name or personal information will never be singled out or released. Your shopping data will be combined with that of other Canadian households to produce product market reports.
